CAD is Computer Aided Design. CAD's are software applications used  to design and present drawings. CAD's are used in fields where scaled high precision drawings are required.
Each CAD application uses its own data format.  HAUK & SASKO provides a module which enables you to see CAD's in your browser. This software enables all workstations to show
CAD documents without having the CAD-System installed. The documents are converted to the DXF
format and shown by the DXF-Viewer. The DXF-Viewer is used intensively by Fernwärme Ulm GmbH.

CAD Systems are applications with which CAD documents can be created. There are several Providers of CAD-Systems, for example CATIA and AutoCAD. Converting is the change of data from one data format  to another.

A facility running productively for years collects vast amounts of information concerning single components, documents, technical drawings, projects, reports, calculations etc. It is important to manage this knowledge in system-wide documentation, so that employees have fast access to complete and relevant information.

High- voltage is voltage over 65V. This voltage is used to create mechanical energy, light or heat.

Low- voltage is voltage below 65V. It is used mainly for communication and data transfers because not as much power is needed.

A search engine is a software which supplies data based on search criteria. The data and documents which are searched can be stored locally on a computer, or on the Internet / Intranet.
Search engines have become an essential  part of the Internet. Also essential is an efficient search engine for web-based information systems such as UKIS. The search engine UKIS indicates all available data fields relating to defined document classes.
The full text search in UKIS is  assumed by the search engine. All contents from documents of all kinds, word documents, CAD drawings, presentations, even to pictures are extracted and stored in the full text index.
