The term data and communication networks is considered a system of transportation for communication between people and systems.
A communication network provides an “end- to- end” connection between end- users and /or hardware, so that they will be able to communicate.
Communication networks differentiate from each other concerning their local expansion, therefore one distinguishes between local area networks (LAN), alignment networks (AN), metropolitan area networks (MAN), wide area networks (WAN) and global area networks (GAN).
Because of their physical structure, communication networks can operate by radio waves as well as with electric signals on hardwired transmission media. Furthermore, they can also work with light signals in optical fibers as well as with infrared rays in the case of fixed connections.
In terms of the switching technology, communication networks can be management-provided, package- provided or cell- provided.
Moreover, networks can be distinguished between the types of transmission, interface, user installation, transfer method and between the types of the supporting services.
Our job is to find and put into practice the optimal solution for the particular conceptual formulation.
You as our custumer will not only profit from our specific know- how in the operational division of electrical engineering and information systems concerning the planning of data and communication networks,
but also from our knowledge of network and database management, modern communication concepts and multimedia applications.
