In the operations logbook BTB relevant data and malfunctions are documented, recorded and transparently shown so that preventable causes are identified and can be excluded.
The utilization of a database-supported log instead of multiple handwritten logs assures the chronology of entries. Multiple entries are avoided and a uniform naming of events and conditions is maintained through the use of configured message texts.
Locations, facilities, PPS, shifts, audits, shift entries and intraday reports can be recorded. These shift entries include own- or predefined categories such as notes, status messages, failure messages, start and end audits, shift starts and endings, circuit and complaints from local residents.
Information about the operating conditions of the system, such as "stop", "synchronized" or "started", is documented in status messages. User rights, which permit access to data and control functions, are defined in the operation Llg.
The solution provides statistics on total hours as an indicator for service intervals, operating hours per shift / per plant and per maintenance downtime. An interface to MS Excel allows the user to tie the data into spreadsheet calculations and graphs.
The SOA (Service Oriented Architecture) includes additional web-service interfaces.
Once a shift is completed, the data on this particular shift becomes write-protected. However, users with elevated access right have the ability to make amendments when necessary.
