Data Input

In contrast to handwritten shift operation journals / shift logs, employees in different locations have access to the records in a database-system.

Data consistency and reliability is achieved through role assignment, which regulates the access rights for roles such as manager, shift manager, shift workers as well as maintenance personnel. The action log records accurately who was responsible, when and for what.

Whenever possible, data entry is supported by "AutoSuggest" fields. The input dialogue boxes are initialized automatically so that the operator has only to enter the necessary information. For the text fields "description", "failure cause" etc., standard texts can be stored and offered to the user for selection.

BTB Data Input

In addition to checksums for data consistency, the entries are validated by business logic. The operating log BTB can only be stored if the input data is plausible. For example, a date in the future will be denied just as well as the changing of the system status from "stop" to "sync".

In a Web-based system it is possible to select the operation log as an internet page, therefore no separate BTB-specific configuration is required and there are no extra costs for user licenses.

Also convenient for data input is the back- and forward navigation, as it is commonly known in browsers.
