CAD Package

UKIS supports displaying, searching and redlining any CAD drawing in the DXF Format (Drawing Interchange-Format by AutoDesk). The UKIS CAD package converts CAD documents created by applications such as AutoCAD and MicroStation to the DXF and to the ASCII format. Alternatively, it is possible to display the documents with a CAD-viewer plugin (e.g. AutoVUE, Myriad etc.). However, these viewers are often expensive and generally do not allow the drawing’s text to be searched.

The converter module enables UKIS to display CAD documents in a browser. The text in the CAD documents is indexed and can be searched. Also, UKIS automatically creates hyperlinks from the CAD drawings to other documents in the system.
