It is possible to create user accounts and user groups in UKIS. An user or a user group can each be members of another user group. The system administrator can assign passwords and UKIS start pages.
UKIS offers the definition of domains, which can help visualizing the organizational structure of an enterprise. For example, it is possible to define individual locations as domains and assign their own system administrators. The system administrators can then handle user accounts and authorisations locally. The user profile can also adapt the user interface according to the different domains and locations. At the same time, the UKIS application of the site/domain may still run on one central server.
In UKIS there can be chosen different kinds of access authorisation:
See Authorisation
Change Authorisation
Delete Authorisation
Enter Authorisation
Change attribute Authorisation
During login, the user chooses the language version of the UKIS application. As an option, user profiles can be imported via LDAP from other systems (e.g. Active Directory Service, Novell Directory Service etc.).
