The UKIS search engine enables the user to retrieve any desired documents in a full text search or by using document attributes (metadata such as file type etc.).

All information objects maintained in UKIS and their content may be searched and displayed in the form of a results listing. This includes scanned documents that have been OCR processed.

The „extended search“ functionality finds documents by using a combined search of text and metadata (e.g. text in a document combined with document title, type, author etc.). The „class specific search“ allows users to look for documents of a specific class attribute (e.g. address, comment, task etc.).

Seach results with highlighted text passage

The search results show retrieved documents and highlights the relevant portions of text in the document. The user is guided via a hyperlink which leads to the relevant part of a document. In CAD drawings, the search result will be highlighted in red.
